Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening: Part 1

This is part of a 3 part series. Part 2 is here. And Part 3 is here. Healing is a journey.

Before and After Fibroblast Plasma Pen

Two weeks after Fibroblast Skin Tightening

Two weeks ago I got a Fibroblast Plasma treatment to my eyes, nose and lower face. I went into it somewhat naive - even though I’d been planning this for nearly a year. I say naive because I hadn’t ever really spoken to anyone who had done this before other than the woman who was going to give me the treatment. I had waited almost a year specifically for her - I had done enough research to know that the success of treatment (like most things in the med spa universe) is based on the technician, their skill set and their familiarity with the patterns you create with the little dots.

My rabbit-hole of research showed me lots of ‘after’ photos that leaned towards showing no results or even worse: botched scenarios that would be costly and complicated to undo. I had a consultation scheduled in Miami with a “top” plastic surgeon and it was a totally negative experience. I had discovered Jane, who did my treatment, on Instagram and told her about the disappointing experience with the surgeon and she was like ‘just wait for me - I’ll come to Florida! Jane lives in California but I knew she was the best of the best. I ended up hooking her up with Limore at Eden Med in Boca Raton and she came and did a little pop-up. It was the best - she has such a chill vibe and I knew I was in great hands and to be in a familiar environment in Limore’s spa was so great. Limore and Jane are now total BFF’s! I love it.

So onto the treatment. Let’s just begin by saying this: the downtime for this treatment is legit. It’s not really too painful - however it’s pretty much impossible to go out in public at all while the dots are on your face. Between the risk of burning from sun exposure and how extreme the dots look while they’re on your face - it’s really a time to just stay in and lay low.

I’m going to hold off for another post before I dive into the photos of me recovering from the treatment. For now, I’m still in the process of healing (full results kick in around 10 weeks) but I wanted to show my two weeks results because they’re so amazing! I’ll do lots of “during downtime” photos and I’m also planning on doing a video as well.

The lifting of the eyelids and getting rid of the mole above my lip has me so psyched. I can actually see better!! Also, something that’s really standing out to me here is the dark circles under my eyes (along with the puffiness) as well as skin tone. The before photo (on the left) was taken in a hallway with a ring light - the other is me just after waking up standing in front of a window.

This treatment isn’t for the faint of heart. I’m amazed at the results so far!! Stay tuned for more!

Two weeks after Fibroblast Skin Tightening

What is Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening?

During the process the plasma comes into contact with the skin’s surface, applying a direct heat. This is transferred into the inner papillary layers of the skin, this is what is known as fibroblast cells. These cells are responsible for generating connective tissue, and allowing the skin to recover from injury or trauma. This helps the skin create brand new skin cells from the contractions of the skin and stimulation of the collagen cells underneath at week 6 of healing.

Check out this post to watch Jane working her magic on my face!
